Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Basketball will be participating in the Housatonic Valley Athletic League Tournament this upcoming week. The boys team is the #1 seed for the third consecutive year and the girls team is the #6 seed, in each team's tournament.

Life is a Cabaret! Welcome to the infamous Kit Kat Klub, where the Emcee, Sally Bowles and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd – and to leave their troubles outside. But as life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain, will the decadent allure of Berlin nightlife be enough to get them through their dangerous times? Performances are: Friday, February 23 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, February 24 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, Friday, March 2 at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, March 3 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

What's better than learning about castles, knights, and the Middle Ages - putting it all together into a wonderful Medieval Feast! The eve of February 8 was a magical celebration in which the fifth graders took a hands-on approach to their study of the Middle Ages.

In its inaugural year, Wooster School's Deep Learning Initiative (DLI) class "Advanced Chemical Applications" has pushed students to personalized and lasting understandings of the varied uses of chemistry.

Wooster School fourth grade students recently completed their study of Ancient Greece. As a celebration of their hard work and accomplishments, the students gathered with their families for a Greek festival. All gathered in the Honor Room to tour the 'Greek Museum,' displaying all of their work and to feast on some authentic Greek food. The students dressed in Greek chitons and performed three plays based on the myths of Persephone, Arachne, and Echo and Narcissus.

Wooster School's Deep Learning Initiative class "Art and the Making of Meaning" integrates local museums into the curriculum. These partnerships provide real-life opportunities for students to examine how artists/makers, curators, museum educators, historians, and museum visitors contribute to our understanding of the world through art.

The Catwalk for a Cure event will be held on Thursday, March 8 at Wooster School, Forever Young Gymnasium, 91 Miry Brook Road, Danbury, CT 06810. Wooster students Sunny Liu and Messon Ma have work at The Katonah Museum of Art this month as part of the 35th Annual Young Artists exhibition. The exhibition showcases the extraordinary talents of aspiring artists. More than 400 artworks by high school students from over 40 schools across Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess, and Fairfield counties.

Wooster School twelfth grade student, Renata Abiali, received the Student of the Month Award from the Danbury chapter of the National Exchange club on December 7. This award is given to a student for outstanding contribution and service to their local community.
