Wooster School - Rashmi School Partnership Trip
June 13 - 23, 2020
The Center for Social Impact is excited to announce our Wooster School - Rashmi School Partnership trip to Nepal from June 13 - 23, 2020. The focus areas include further developing STEAM programming, continuing to develop sustainable resources for the early childhood program (ECD), and developing, planning, and implementing a student-led collaborative project. The student-led project will involve working with Rashmi students on identifying an area of need at Rashmi, communicating and planning prior to departure (remotely via Skype, email, etc.), and then implementing the project while in Nepal.
Students will be expected to attend regular meetings to learn about the culture and context of Nepal, to plan for the projects, and to engage in fundraising efforts individually and as a team, to cover the project-related costs while in Nepal.
A valid passport and immunizations are required to participate.
Estimated cost per person: $2,500. (Includes airfare, hotel, meals, all transportation to/from airport and in Nepal; cultural visits, visa, etc.)
Six students will be selected this year to participate. Once students are selected, an informational orientation for students and families will cover all aspects of the trip.
