Class Notes - Summer 2018

Class of 1974

Ben Verdery '74 participated in a concert at the 92nd Street in New York City in May. He joined the St. Lawrence String Quartet, premiered an original piece, "the rain falls equally on all things" as well as performed an original piece written by Bryce Dessner. The program also featured works by Seymour Bernstein, Ingram Marshall, Heitor Villa Lobos, J.S. Bach and Boccherini. To see what Ben is up to next, visit his website.

Class of 2002, 2013, and 2017

Located upstairs from Bernard's restaurant at 20 West Lane, Ridgefield, is Sarah's Wine Bar. They love to delight their patrons with good food, nice ambiance and live music. Class of 2003 and 2005

Erin Murray Quinlan '05 , a writer and composer is making her official Off-Broadway debut in a limited run play she wrote, God Save Queen Pam on Friday, June 21. Singer, songwriter Carolyn Light '03 has a leading role in the play. The play's plot takes us to the demise of the British Royal House where the only living heir is an American bartender. Pam Duffy (Erin Quinlan) must take on the duties of Queen while scheming nobles orchestrate their own plans.

Class of 2014

Rachel Lynch '14 graduated from Fordham University in May with a Bachelor of Art in political science and sociology. While at Fordham, Rachel had an internship with New York state Governor Cuomo, and most recently worked on a project with her club volleyball team to support hurricane victims. She will be attending New York Law School in the Fall.

Class of 2017

Kern Byrnes '17 was recently named the 2018 Newcomer of the Year for lacrosse in the North Coast Athletic Conference, only the second player to be honored with this award in the history of Kenyon College Lacrosse. He was also the only freshman named to the league All-Conference team, earning second team honors as a defenseman as well as the team’s MVP on defense. While at Wooster School, Kern was a two-time All-American Lacrosse Player and All-Star NEPSAC basketball player.
