Alumni Challenge

Wooster School alumni, are you up for a challenge? John Wean '67 thinks you are! Collectively, we can make a difference. John will donate $20,000 to the Annual Appeal if we are able to increase alumni participation to 10%. You don’t have to give a lot to have a major impact. Whatever your gift amount, each has equal weight in helping us reach our goal of 220 donors! We're already half way there, and to qualify for the challenge, all gifts, cash or pledge, need to be received by January 31, 2017: www.woosterschool.org/donate

The Annual Appeal has benefits far beyond the dollar value of your gifts. Your support through the years has helped Wooster School remain committed to preparing young people for fulfillment, happiness and success in life through the rigorous and healthy development of intellect, conscience, body and spirit.

Al Bonney '62, 30+ consecutive years of giving
"I was not a good student but John Verdery took a chance on me and changed my life. Certainly it was not John alone; the academic and athletic faculty, my fellow students and the culture of Wooster School all contributed, but my life changed, and from then on I knew I could do things that were not so clearly possible before Wooster. Looking back, even from only days after graduating Wooster, it has always been impossible for me not to invest in Wooster taking chances on students and changing their lives. If I have enabled even one I will have been successful. Thanks, Wooster!"

Alex Carter '78, 25+ years of consecutive giving
"Wooster gave me a great education. And at least as importantly, I found a true community: a sense of belonging, and a sense of responsibility to others. I want others to have the same opportunities."

George Norton '67, 20+ years of consecutive giving
"I am grateful for the excellent education and essential financial support I received at Wooster. Former faculty such as Korb Eynon, Hobart Warner, Donald Schwartz and Joe Grover were outstanding teachers, and just as important, they deeply cared about students. I hope my gift helps their legacy to continue with the current generation of Wooster faculty and staff."

Theresa Chang '86
"Simply put, I value what the school did for me – and I want to see other kids benefit as well. For that to happen, the school needs to stay open. To stay open, they need my financial support."

We all give to Wooster School for different reasons. Whatever your reasons, we are appreciative! A tax deductible gift today, no matter what size, has an immediate impact. Your gift just might be the one that helps us reach 10%!
