Wooster Jazz Series
Wooster School is pleased to announce its 2015 Jazz Series. The Music Department is excited to host this prominent group of musicians, and shows are open to Wooster students and alumni, their families, and the community at large. Performances will take place in the evenings in the Reception Center at 6:00 pm with Wooster musicians followed by the artists at 7:00 pm. Evening concerts are precluded by a day visit to work with our young musicians.

Local musician and Wooster School past parent, Rob Fried P '13 and '17, is a member of Bone Dry Band.
Bone Dry is an acoustic-electric band based in southwestern Connecticut. Their style combines a wide range of genres including blues, roots, funk, Motown, Latin, jam band and jazz.

Manhattan native Dave Guy is a trumpeter for the band Dujeous. He has toured with Amy Winehouse. He is a member of Daptone Records funk bands the Dap-Kings, Sugarman 3, Menahan Street Band, and Budos Band, and is first trumpeter in Charles Tolliver's Big Band. He has also played for Mark Ronson, Nancy Sinatra, Wynton Marsalis, and Lily Allen.
Dave Guy currently plays trumpet with house band, The Roots, on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Javon Jackson came into international prominence as a member of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. As a member of Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Javon toured and made many recordings with the legendary drummer.
