40th Annual Young Artists Exhibition at The Katonah Museum of Art

40th Annual Young Artists Exhibition at The Katonah Museum of Art

Wooster students Lizzie Lee, Sophia Cilento, Shelby Bernstein, Lillian Zhao, and Sahara DiClemente have work on display at The Katonah Museum of Art (KMA) this month as part of the 40th Annual Young Artists exhibition which features the work of high school seniors from public and private schools throughout the region.

An impactful program that supports the growth of student artists, the exhibition plays an integral role in the senior experience, providing a unique opportunity for students who plan to pursue the arts beyond high school.

Because it is the 40th anniversary of the exhibition, the Museum commissioned a mural artist to work with a small group of high school students on a mural in the lobby of the museum. Lizzie Lee was one of the artists who worked with artist Tom Christopher to complete the mural. Lizzie along with Sophia Cilento also had the opportunity to participate behind-the-scenes with the mounting of the museum exhibition. The exhibition features approximately 400 senior student artworks from over 40 high schools in Dutchess, Fairfield, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties.

The exhibition will be on view until February 26. Admission to this exhibition is free to the public. To reserve general admission tickets, please visit: https://www.simpletix.com/e/daily-admissions-young-artists-2023-ticket-121399.
