Tutoring at Wooster is personalized for the learner, flexible, and available for students in grades 5 through grade 12.

Personalized Tutoring
45 minutes per session during the school day

60 minutes per session after school

Personalized tutoring is one-on-one teaching that is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the learner. Tutors work with parents and students to set specific reading, writing, and/or math goals. Areas of focus could include notetaking, written response to a text, summer assignment help, building inferential comprehension, decoding, multiplication, division, and fractions. Personalized tutoring is a great way for all students to review, maintain, and gain academic skills.
Specialized Therapies

Specialized and highly trained teachers are also available to work with students with specific language-based learning differences using programs such as Wilson, Just Words, and Visualizing and Verbalizing as well as math programs.
Attendance Policy
The Tutoring Center faculty travel to campus specifically to work with our students, therefore attendance and punctuality are important. While we understand that circumstances occasionally occur which may interfere with a student’s ability to attend a scheduled tutoring appointment, please notify the tutor directly at least 2 hours before if you need to cancel to avoid charges.
In addition, please email Katie Johnstone, Coordinator of the Tutoring Center, at katie.johnstone@woosterschool.org. Tutors who need to cancel and/or reschedule will notify parents and the Tutoring Center directly as well. Tutoring sessions can be made up at a mutually agreed upon time. A "no show" will result in a full charge with no guaranteed makeup. If you are running late, please call your tutor directly, as many of our tutors are scheduled with back-to-back sessions. Wooster School will notify all tutors of inclement weather cancellations and delays including any school special event schedules.
