These are the best pizza places I have visited this spring. These places are located in Danbury, Ridgefield, and Brookfield. I rated them based on the quality of the pizza, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the staff.
La Piazza
Location: Brookfield
Pizza: 9.2
This small but tasty restaurant in Brookfield represents authentic Italian food and pizza. What sets La Piazza apart from any other pizza place is the large space in the back, which features a bar and an elegant dining room. I went with ‘28 Jack M, and we both bought a single slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was crispy, smoky, and less greasy than we anticipated, which we appreciated. The pizza had a lot of taste with a slight taste of fresh basil. We both took notes on the pizza and rated it 9.2, which is very high but definitely worth it. We also rated the staff and the restaurant's cleanliness. The place was very authentic. It had nice granite tables with curtains hanging to give you privacy from your neighbor. It was really enjoyable and a quiet little place. We gave that 9.4. Next up, the staff. The staff was really kind, taking the time to talk to us and explain the history of the restaurant. They were so kind that they gave us a complimentary drink from Italy on the house. I would definitely say 8.9 for the great staff.
Urban Street Pizza

Urban Street Pizza is also located in Brookfield, three minutes away from La Piazza. What makes Urban Pizza interesting is that it represents a ’90s-style pizza place. It also has a peach wave connected to the restaurant, which makes it busier. The restaurant was quite clean and detailed. Since we visited at night, their options were limited. We both ordered a slice of Margherita. It had spots of sauce, which made up most of the taste. The bread was really thin, and the cheese was chewy. It was greasy but in a good, authentic way, which brought the pizza rating to a 7.2. Next up was the staff. There wasn't much interaction with the staff except when we walked into the restaurant. The overall experience takes it to an 8.1. Really cool artwork, but not a lot of options for pizza.
Eddie’s
Location: Ridgefield
Pizza: 8.8
Located in Ridgefield, Eddie's showcases a small, quiet, but authentic pizza place. When we entered, the restaurant was clean and decorated with an old Italian-style design on the floor and walls. They also had a small bar offering milkshakes and gelato. We sat at a small, bar-like seating area. We ordered four slices of cheese pizza, and within five minutes, the fresh pizza came right out of the oven. It was a thin cheese slice that was not oily at all, which we appreciated. We gave this excellent restaurant an official rating of 8.8, which is really impressive!
Papa G’s Pizza

Papa G’s is located in the Danbury Mall, right next to Wooster. The staff welcomed us warmly and were very friendly upon our arrival. We ordered two cheese slices fresh from the oven. As we took our first bite, there was a nice crunch. The pizza was perfect with just the right amount of cheese. It wasn't oily, which was perfect and enhanced the crunch of the bread. As we neared the crust, it had a nice char on the bottom, enhancing its smoky flavor. We rated this pizza a 7.8. Even though it is on the lower end, we still enjoyed the quality of the pizza.

Stanziatos, situated on the side of Danbury, offers a cozy sit-down experience with a wide menu. The restaurant was very clean. We ordered a small pizza. The waiter was very kind, engaging with us and quickly bringing whatever we needed. The pizza was ready quickly and looked delicious with six slices. As we took our first bite, the pizza had a crispy crunch and a satisfying basil flavor. It was really cheesy but surprisingly not oily at all. As we got to the crust, it turned out to be a little too burnt and crispy for our preference. Overall, I gave the pizza an 8.3 rating. It was authentic and cheesy, but the crust was slightly burnt. They have cool, funny photos all around the restaurant, and the walls are fully decorated. In the background, they have all types of music from pop to jazz.
