This week at Wooster has been a very nice, short, and relaxed week. It is the final week before spring break and everyone is ready. We only had three days of classes: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and those were our only full days this week. On Thursday we had our second Work Day of the year. A work day is a half day of school and we spend it cleaning up the campus so that when we get back from break we can start up again in a nice clean school and classrooms. This is also a nice time to make new friends and meet new people that you might not have talked to before. After this half day everyone was happy to leave and even hang out with friends or leave for vacation. This week, many people had a lot of cards and assignments because we are wrapping up the trimester. Personally, I have had lots of presentations and tests these past couple of weeks because juniors get a lot of work to prepare for college. Even though it is tough to do all the work, it is good to get the practice in.
Spring sports will also be temporarily stopping for break. Some sports teams will be meeting and practicing over break, but it is not mandatory and is only for people who are around and want to get some extra practice in. As we approach spring, the weather has been getting warmer and we have had some sunny days. The snow is all melting and we are starting to see some green. I am excited to get back from break and see all the bright, colorful, and pretty flowers that bloom on campus. Overall, this week at Wooster has been relaxing and filled with excitement over the break.
