Spring Teams of the Week: March 14
The boys track season will be very special this year as they have a lot of returning players that have gotten better since last year. Seniors Ben Horn and Brady Carpenter are the leaders of the team as they do a great job on and off the track. Speedy juniors Christian Evers and Javier Aleman are also big pieces on the team as they look to blow past the competition. Superstar freshman Jack Moskowitz looks to get all NEPSAC for a second year in a row and bring the team to win the championship. Overall this should be a very exciting season as the boys look to win HVALs and compete in New Englands.
The girls track team is also in store for a stellar season as Juniors Johanna Vail and Ella Moskowitz look to step into a leadership role that will be crucial to the team’s success. Both are the fastest runners on the team and are looking to go back and compete in HVALs and new englands again. Every player works very hard in practice and has a winning mindset as this is the year the girls are looking to dominate HVALs. Overall the team is definitely in competition for an HVAL championship and qualification for NEPSACs!
Boys tennis is in store for another winning season as they have worked very hard this off-season. Teddy Porter, a senior captain, looks to lead the team as he has led his team by showing them what it takes to work hard and play at a high level. Star junior, Blake Cushman, is in store for a huge season as he comes off of winning an HVAL championship last season. Overall the team should have a very good season as they have been working very hard!
Girls tennis is also in store for another winning season! Star player Kathryn Schade is looking to continue her dominance in tennis like she did in soccer and basketball. Schade is a great athlete and is known for her positive attitude and her leadership! Overall the team should have a very successful season and are looking to compete all season and make a deep run in HVALs.
Wooster Ultimate is coming off of back to back state championships, but this year's team will be looking very different. Graduated are the senior contributors of last year, and in are the new hardworking 9th graders, while the team is led by captains Vega Farro and Will Micciche. Wooster will be participating in multiple tournaments throughout the year, including the Hotckiss mini tournament on 4/12, Connecticut State Tournament on 5/7 and then 5/10, and finally New England Private School Ultimate League to end the year on 5/17! We hope to see you there supporting Wooster Ultimate!!
