Meet Robert Mancini
It’s Week 2 of interviewing new faculty members. For this week’s featured teacher, you might see him up on the third floor of Coburn teaching 9th grade bridge... Mr. Mancini!!!
Mr. Mancini is in charge of Humanities and STEM for Bridge 9. He really likes his teaching position because he likes building relationships with all the students as a whole person, and he would say just to be part of a community, and that Wooster has a great community.
He wanted to come work at Wooster because he really enjoyed the community that Wooster had to offer and he grew up around the area so he wanted to come back and give back and teach locally.
I asked him what three things the Wooster community doesn't know about him. He said:
1) He has a big collection of ties; he likes wearing a different tie to work.
2) He loves video games.
3) He loves fashion history.
In his free time he likes to go to the beach but since it is getting cold, he likes to go thrifting and hang out with friends and likes to watch documentaries.
Lastly I asked him what his favorite thing about Wooster is the campus. He says the campus feels like a college campus.
Four weeks in, and Mr. Mancini has adjusted very well to Wooster. We are happy to have Mr. Mancini on Wooster campus and as a part of our community!
