Kathryn Schade #4
Girls Soccer
The Female Athlete of the Week goes to Kathryn Schade. This Monday, the girls varsity soccer team played Westover School in a very important game to get the girls into the win column. Kathryn Schade (aka “Shady”) is the name that was heard all game as she led the team with a hat trick. Kathryn glided all over the field and crossed up defenders. Even though the girls took a tough loss 4-3, Kathryn was the bright spot for the Generals. Kathryn is showing the hard work she put in all of the offseason by currently leading the team in goals and showing her offensive aggressiveness this season. Keep an eye out for Kathryn and the Generals as they keep showing out this season and look to make noise in HVAL!
Jack Moskowitz
Cross Country
Last week the cross country team traveled to the Oakwood Friends Invitational, which they won, and then on Saturday, traveled to the Winding Trail Invitational. In both races freshman Jack Moskowitz was a standout with his quick paces, but specifically, Jack placed first overall at the Oakwood Friends Invitational.
At the Winding Trail invitational Jack broke this record with a finishing time of 19:46.1 for his personal 5K best. We hope to see Jack break more records in his coming races and he will surely be a problem for other teams in the coming races.
