Girls Cross Country
Hanna Vail
The female cross country athlete of the fall is junior Johanna Vail. Hanna had a great season as she showed her major improvement from last year as she holds steady as one of the best cross country runners in HVAL and has developed into a great leader and a role model for the underclassmen. Hanna is also one of the five captains on the team and also the only junior captain. Hanna had an impressive regular season as she placed in all of the HVAL races. Hanna had a great HVAL race as she was one of the four Wooster girls to place in the top ten, which helped the girls place second, and she herself finished second. Hanna also had a great NEPSAC race as she placed Top 20 in the race. Hanna ended the season with being selected for the NEPSAC All Star XC Meet. Hanna is in the books for a great senior year as she looks to continue her XC dominance.
Boys Soccer
Brayan Tenesaca
The boys soccer athlete of the season is senior and captain, Brayan Tenesaca. Brayan, #10, hit a huge milestone this season after reaching 100 goals in his high school career. This season the Brayan helped the boys take on huge opponents and come out with 14 wins. He was the highest goal scorer and also dished out many assists. Because of this Brayan is the boys soccer Athlete of the Season.
Girls Soccer
Alexandra Kriegel
The girls soccer athlete of the season goes to senior and captain Alexandra Kriegel. Alexandra had a great season, showing off her leadership and being a great role model to the younger players. Alexandra was lightning quick on the field, and played great all around games. She has shown her great passing this season as she led the team in assists, showing her unselfishness and willingness to make her teammates better. She also had the most penalty-kicks-turned- goals this year. All four years she has played, she has always shown her improvement from season to season, and been a role model. Because of this Alexandra is the girls soccer athlete of the season.
Volleyball
Campbell Juan
The volleyball athlete of season week goes to a much-deserving Campbell Juan. Campbell, named Captain as just a sophomore, has taken the HVAL and NEPSAC by storm this season with her outstanding performances game in and game out. Campbell had an amazing outing this season in which she showed off her talent by giving perfect passes to her teammates and had strong returns that led to crucial points in all their games. Watching the games you can tell Campbell is a very confident player in her positive attitude and the way she asserts herself right as the game starts. She has shown her major development since last season with her hard work and dedication to her game and her leadership to the team this year.
Boys Cross Country
Jack Moskowitz
The boys cross country athlete of the season goes to freshman Jack Moskowitz. In all the races this season Jack Moskowitz was a standout with his quick paces and high placement and specifically he placed first overall at the Oakwood Friends Invitational. He consistently outdid himself, breaking personal records, and was no doubt a key factor in the boys tremendous HVAL win for the first time since 2017. Jack was also the only male to place in the NEPSAC race as he placed top 20. His dominance was not gone unknown as he was selected for the NEPSAC All-Star XC meet. As Jack is only a freshman, his career will only get better from here.
