Students Prepare For Final Reflections As School Winds Down

Students Prepare For Final Reflections As School Winds Down
Marley Matorin '26

The year is almost over which means that final reflections are coming up in most classes. These are an important part of Wooster because they allow students to look back on their academic journey throughout the year. Final reflections happen at the end of the year and are when teachers assign students different assignments based on the class. Some classes will have projects, essays, or presentations etc.

This school year, final reflections are two days on May 31 and June 3. After these days there are only a couple more days of school left with special things happening including SIS presentations from the seniors and half day work days to clean up the campus for summer. Students then have a day off before Graduation on June 7, where the whole school is invited to come and watch the seniors leave for their next journey in life.

Final reflections signify that school is coming to an end and everyone starts to get excited for summer. During these times students like to spend time outside in the warm sun. Some teachers will let students go outside during class to get work done, but also be able to enjoy the nice summer weather. Final reflections are also a good transition between school and summer where students don’t have any incoming work and start to be able to chill out after getting work done but they still have a couple more days until they can be in summer mode all the time.

As this school year comes to an end it is a time to reflect on learning and the skills that everyone has learned throughout the year. These final days are filled with excitement and time outside because students have overcome an accomplishment of finishing another year of school, and the seniors are going off to college.
