The Halo Awards

A very exciting week for Wooster’s performing arts team as the Halo Awards are out! On Tuesday, May 19th,  nominations were announced for the 20th annual Seven Angels Halo Awards. In 1993, Semina DeLaurentis founded this program as a celebration of high school theater in the Greater Waterbury Region. Back then, the program included eight schools and had a short ceremony held at the Seven Angels Theater. Over the years, the program outgrew Seven Angels and is now held at the Palace Theater in Waterbury, Connecticut. The Halos now are an entertainment filled night consisting of awards, scholarships, and performances with attendance from over 90 high schools from all eight Connecticut counties. This year, Wooster was grateful enough to receive 14 nominations through All In The Timing (Wooster’s Fall Play) and Guys And Dolls (Wooster’s Winter Musical) covering all fields from everyone backstage on tech to the performers on stage.
Everyone in Wooster Performing Arts is honored to receive the recognition and so excited to attend this year's Halos on Wednesday, May 29!
Will Thaler and Violet Restivo will also perform a special performance from Guys And Dolls at the show.
