On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Wooster track and field team competed in the New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) championship meet at Marianapolis Prep. It was a cold, rainy day, but that didn’t stop Wooster athletes from reaching their PRs. Some Wooster athletes even got medals.
Colin, Johanna, Amelia, and Zayden all got medals. Zayden is the NEPSTA Champion in the 400. Colin and Amelia ran the 3000. Hanna and Colin ran the 1500. Hanna ran the 800. Zayden and Alexandra ran the 400. Ben and Rani ran the 200. Tiffany, Alexandra, Tatiana, and Ja’Myiah ran the 4/100 relay. Christian, Ben, Owen, and Colin ran the 4/400 relay. Everyone did great in their events and we didn’t let the weather ruin a great meet.
From sitting in the gym doing driver’s ed to winning a race in the rain it was a great day of track and field and a great way to end our track season. Thank you to our seniors Matt and Tiffany. Also, thank you to our coaches, Coach Wilkinson and Coach Carlson. Congratulations to everyone who did track this season and we can’t wait for next year.
