Welcome from Shannon Prohaszka

Dear Wooster Generals!

I hope that this letter finds you well and thriving in this New Year! For those of you whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting just yet, my name is Shannon Prohaszka and I am the Chief Development Officer for Wooster School. I proudly joined Wooster in 2021 and one of my goals has been working towards increasing alumni engagement. With that said, this new year brings a new milestone.

It is with immense excitement that I announce the relaunch of our Alumni Newsletter! This cherished tradition is being revitalized to bring you closer to the heart of our vibrant and ever-growing Wooster community. A community embarking on our Centennial in 2026!

The relaunching of our newsletter is a milestone in our journey towards Wooster School’s 100th year!  This is a testament to the dedication and achievements of our sacred school, the leaders who steered our course through the good times and difficult eras, a tribute to faculty and staff both past and present, and to our alumni.  Your stories and experiences have shaped the legacy of our school and we look to celebrate the incredible journey that our alumni community has undertaken, all the while sharing the wonderful stories of Wooster now.

What can you look forward to in the upcoming Alumni Newsletter?

Go, Generals!

Sincerely,

Shannon Prohaszka

As college application deadlines approach in early November, the entire Wooster School community rallies around our graduating senior class. Beyond mere encouragement and well wishes, however, the entire school – from classroom teachers, to coaches, to support staff and administrators – shifts its attention and workflow for one entire day to contribute to a workshop designed to help seniors put the finishing touches on their college admission materials.

Homecoming 2023 Recap
Shannon Prohaszka, Chief Development Officer

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, Wooster School welcomed back dozens of Generals from the past. Class representatives spanned from our most recent Alumni who just graduated in 2023, to those who crossed the stage to accept their diplomas in 1961. A true testament to the day was that there was multiple alumnus from every decade in between.
