Dear Wooster Alumni!
As we bring another memorable school year to a close, I can’t help but pause to reflect on the numerous achievements we’ve collectively reached at Wooster. One of the most poignant moments being graduation, and as we celebrate this milestone, we are reminded of the many generations of Wooster graduates who have walked across the stage, ready to embark on new adventures. These ceremonies mark not just the end of a chapter, but the beginning of new journeys filled with promise and potential. Each graduation is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, parents, faculty and staff, and it fills us with immense pride.
“School’s Out For Summer!”, those famous Alice Copper lyrics aptly capture the sense of liberation and excitement we all feel leading into the summer months. For our students and teaching faculty, this time of year allows for deep breaths, slower days, and a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle. It's a period when pencils and computers can gather a bit of dust, and everyone can recharge and rejuvenate.
For those of us in Development, Alumni Relations, and Marketing, our heads will be down, beginning the workings towards our Centennial year and celebrations. As we approach this monumental landmark for Wooster School and our Wooster Community, now more than ever, our alumni play a vital role. This is the perfect time to gather and celebrate the rich history and evolution of our school through your stories and experiences, via conversations, or photos you may have tucked away stored next to your old yearbook or Wooster publications/playbills.
Join us at Homecoming, or if you are in our neck of the woods, stop by for a visit, like Gus Compson '64 often does. This past year Gus was unable to attend Homecoming but called to arrange a morning with him. Pictured below, Gus is jamming out with one of our music classes.
Your insights and achievements serve as an inspiration to our current students and a testament to the enduring values of a Wooster education. We encourage you to stay connected or reconnect with us! Submit class notes, email or call, we are here and excited to chat!
We hope you enjoy this edition and have a wonderful summer. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our beloved school. Together, we celebrate the past, embrace the present, and look forward to a future filled with promise.
Hope to see or hear from you soon,
Shannon Prohaszka
