The preseason practices are over; students have returned to the Wooster campus; the weather still feels summer like, but the fall sports season is about to begin! Upper and Middle School students will begin competing in cross country, football, soccer, and volleyball!

As July came to a close, so too did Summer at Wooster Session Five. Recreation campers enjoyed many sunny days down at the pool, enrichment campers in Visual Arts tried their hand at creating art from melted glass, and the cast and crew of Cinderella performed a gorgeous display of a childhood favorite!

Last week marked the largest session of the season for Summer at Wooster. Despite the heat, Session Four campers stayed cool and kept hydrated throughout the day with a variety of water activities including water polo, free swim, slip n' slide baseball, and other sprinkler games.

Session Three of Summer at Wooster came to a close last Friday, and as the temperatures rise, so do the amount of campers on campus. Last week, 144 campers filled Wooster's campus on the playing fields and courts, around the pool, and in the classrooms.

Summer at Wooster Session Two Highlights

After a restful holiday weekend, Summer at Wooster resumed last Tuesday for Session Two. The four day week went by quickly, but was packed with activities. Recreation campers were excited to see the volleyball net put up this week and to try their hand at cray fishing in Miry Brook. The record for crayfish caught (and released) this week was forty-three.

Last week kicked off the first session of Summer at Wooster 2016, and this year, there are a few changes to camp. The atmosphere of Summer at Wooster remains very much the same. However, the day now extends until 4:00 pm (an hour longer than in past years), and there is new programming. To learn more about Summer at Wooster, please visit http://summeratwooster.org.
