Wooster School's Varsity Ski Team had another strong outing at the Berkshire-Hudson Ski League Championship held at Butternut Ski Area last month. Overall, the team finished in 2nd place.

As we continue to look at what is important to Wooster in and out of the classroom, the athletics department seeks ways to balance the "team" experience with that of the "individual." Finding room for student-athletes, coaches, and parents to reflect and share their favorite memories is a community and team building exercise and one that we feel is important to the success of our program.

Wooster School 9th grade students will have artwork exhibited at the Garrison Art Center as part of a School Invitational Theme Exhibition (SITE) on March 4, 2017! This exhibit features the work of art students from various schools in the area.

The Wooster School Think Pink Club, with support from Wooster's Center for Social Impact, raised $10,000 for The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center during their 4th annual Catwalk for a Cure. Catwalk For A Cure is an organized fashion show that Wooster School, in Danbury CT, exhibits annually.

The boys team is the #2 seed and will host #7 seed Hoosac School on Wednesday, March 1 at 3:45 pm in the Forever Young Gymnasium. The girls team is the #2 seed and will host #7 seed Storm King School on Wednesday, March 1 at 5:15 pm in the Forever Young Gymnasium.

Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Basketball will be participating in the Housatonic Valley Athletic League Tournament this upcoming week. Both teams are the #1 seed in each of their tournaments.

The Wooster School boys and girls basketball regular season has come to an end and now it is time for teams to focus on the postseason. Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) tournaments will be taking place next week with the prestigious New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) tournaments set to begin on March 1.

Wooster students Trista Ma, Marley Caplan, and Kelly Fu have work at The Katonah Museum of Art this month as part of the 34th Annual Young Artists exhibition. The exhibition showcases the extraordinary talents of aspiring artists. More than 400 artworks by high school students from over 40 schools across Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess, and Fairfield counties.

Early Friday morning, the truck was loaded and the students were very excited to be donating the items to the St. Paul's food pantry in Danbury, CT. When the students arrived at the food pantry there was very little food, now the tables are full and overflowing! It was a very generous "Souper Bowl."

With the Wooster School girls varsity basketball 48-16 victory over The Master's School on Wednesday, February 1, Coach Dave MacNutt, recorded his 800th career varsity basketball win. With the win, the Wooster team clinched the #1 seed in the upcoming Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) tournament and is currently the #1 ranked Class E team in NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council).

Todd Brewster, an American author, journalist, and film producer, will be presenting at Wooster on Monday, February 13, 2017. Todd will be joining the Wooster Community for a meet the author discussion event. He will be sharing his story beginning at 7:00 pm in the Reception Center, and then the evening will open up into a Q & A opportunity for the audience.

Venus scored 21 points in the game to break McKenzie Corby's career record of 1,450 points set back in 1998. Okwuka led the team with her game-high 21 points. The senior has now scored 1,467 points in her varsity career.
