5th Graders Learn Four Step Research Process

The fifth graders were introduced to the Four Step Research Process, which includes asking questions, gathering information, sorting the information, and finally creating a finished product. Starting in “Inspiration,” an organizational software program, that provides a template to guide their research, the students each researched an important person from the Civil Rights Movement. Once they had gathered their background information and cited their sources, the fifth graders used Microsoft Publisher to create colorful posters highlighting the importance of their research subject.
