The Admissions Office is accepting applications for the 2009-10 academic year.  For your convenience, our admissions application is available to download in ADOBE Acrobat format:

To assist you throughout the application process we have outlined the components of the Upper and Middle School application as they apply to candidates for grades six through twelve. 

Tuition Rates for 2008-2009

Grade 6    $20,700    Grades 7-8 $25,700   Grades 9-12 $27,700

Lunch, activity, and field trip fees are included in the tuition

Graded sample of student's writing

Complete English Teacher recommendation [Form D]
(must be from student's current teacher)

"Take-A-Look" (6-12) Campus Tours (call the Admissions Office for an appointment)

  • These informal, student-led tours offer prospective students and their parents a glimpse of the academic day and student life at Wooster School.  Tours are offered throughout the year. 
  • Campus tours are not required, but they are encouraged if you are considering applying to Wooster School.

  • Each applicant is required to spend a day, with a student tour guide, visiting Wooster. During the day the Director of Admissions or a member of the Admissions Committee will interview the applicant.

ISEE test results: Check Admissions Calendar for dates (grades 6-12)

  • Registration forms are in the middle of the ISEE booklet; alternatively, you can register online at http://www.erbtest.org/. The testing fee is $73.
  • Wooster School is a testing site on January 10, 2009 and April 18, 2009. Pre-registration is expected and the ISEETest.org site has closing dates for particular tests.
  • The Ben D. Wood Grant is available to those who need financial assistance for the testing fee.  However, one must be a financial aid applicant in order to qualify.  Please contact the Admissions Office for details  (203) 830-3916 .

Other Admissions Information

  • While the regular admissions season has passed for the 2008-09 school year, some openings mayexist.  Please contact us immediately if you would like to be considered for the 2008-2009 school year.
  • All deadlines and pertinent Admissions dates can be found on the "Events and Timetables" portion of the Admissions websitewhich will be updated by September 15, 2008
  • If the applicant has any physical needs which may require accommodations during the admissions visit, please inform the Admissions Office in advance.
