The Admissions Office is accepting applications for the 2009-10 academic year. For your convenience, our admissions application is available to download in ADOBE Acrobat format:
To assist you throughout the application process we have outlined the components of the Lower School application as they apply to candidates for Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade. Pre-Kindergarten is for children who will be 4 years old at the start of the academic year.
Tuition Rates for 2008-2009( includes lunch, snack and activity fee)
Pre-K $13,900 K $14,900 Grade 1 $17,900 Grade 2 $18,900 Grades 3-5 $19,700
Lunch, activity, snack, and field trip fees are included in tuition. Financial Aid is available in K to grade 5, but is limited to 15% of the tuition cost during the 2008-2009 school year.

"Take-A-Peek" Tours and Information Sessions. Please call the Admissions Office at 203-830-3916 to schedule a visit. Our Fall 2008 schedule is below.
- These informal conversations and tours provide a glimpse of the academic day and student life at Wooster School.
- Tours include individual time with a member of the Admissions Staff.
- Campus tours are encouraged and it is best to come to Wooster during a school day.
- Our "Take-A-Peek" schedule for Fall 2008 begins Tuesday October 7. Sessions are held from 9 a.m. to 10:30.We will meet on 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28,11/4, ( no 11/11) 11/18, 11/25, 12/2 and 12/9.
Classroom Visitation and Interview/Evaluation & Developmental Assessments (call the Admissions Office for an appointment) 203-830-3916
- Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten: After the application has been completed and we have received all the necessary
paperwork, your child will be scheduled for an individual developmental assessment. Lynne Effinger, Associate Director of Admissions for Lower School, will administer development assessments from January through February. Children who have completed the developmental assessment will be invited to attend a group session in February 2009.
- 1st Grade: Applicants for 1st Grade will be invited to attend a group session in February, 2009. The application and all the necessary paperwork must be completed in order for your child to attend the group session.
- Grades 2-5: After the application has been completed, and we have received all the paperwork, your child will be invited to come in for his/her class visit. The applicant will visit in his/her current grade, participating in normal daily activities, and will also spend time with Lynne Effinger.

- Registration forms are in the middle of the ISEE booklet; alternatively, you can register online at ISEETest.org. The testing fee is $75.
- The Ben D. Wood Grant is available to those who need financial assistance for the testing fee. However, one must be a financial aid applicant in order to qualify. Please contact the Admissions Office for details (203) 830-3916.
Other Admissions Information
- While the regular admissions season has passed for the 2008-2009 school year, some openings may exist. Please contact us immediately if you would like to be considered for the 2008-2009 school year.
- All deadlines and pertinent Admissions dates can be found on the "Events and Timetables" portion of the Admissions website for the 2009-2010 school year after September 15, 2008.
- If the applicant has any physical needs which may require accommodations during the admissions visit, please inform the Admissions Office in advance.
