The core of the
Wooster experience occurs in the classroom where teachers
and students engage with the material and with one another in the learning
process. Wooster is justifiably proud of the breadth and depth of
classroom instruction here, and takes its responsibly to prepare children for
the next stages of the educational experience - and for life - very
seriously.
It is important to note that
Wooster’s educational philosophy is centered
on teaching children not course
material. Thus, while the topics of
instruction included in these documents represent the best estimate of the
faculty about what subjects will be explored in each class, some additions,
subtractions, and changes are likely to occur each year based on the interests
and aptitudes of the unique group of children who are being
taught.
